Tweet-length definition of Windows Azure
Mary Jo Foley has the first of a series today on how Windows Azure came to be. A great “behind the scenes” look at how Microsoft’s “Windows in the cloud” got started… before even Bill Gates knew about it.
Definitely worth a look in its own right.
Additionally, there was a great topic that came up in the comments:
Can you describe Windows Azure in a sentence? How about in a tweet-length?
Here’s my personal take on the challenge!
Windows Azure = coordinated collection of storage, management & compute srvcs that run your code and transparently scale to any capacity.
Got a better definition under 140 characters? Leave it in the comments!
