Bill Gates' Keynote at the CEO Summit

Yesterday BillG keynoted Microsoft's CEO Summit.  You can see the full keynote for yourself by following the link on Roberdan's post here.  In fact, I'm watching it right now myself.  Among other things, Bill is describing the digitization of the economy, and how technology in general and software in particular is increasingly interwoven with the very fabric of business -- which allows us to change how we do things.

I'm only part way through, but so far my favorite part is Bill's description of how any company can now create it's own television channel, and how Microsoft has done just that.  He doesn't name the channel, but what he's talking about is Channel9

It's basically just a couple guys with a camcorder, but they play an important role in fostering Microsoft's software development community.... It's been a small investment with a big impact: Channel9 has more viewers than most cable channels!  What Channel9 viewers get for their time is a detailed peek inside the heads of the product managers and developers creating Microsoft's software development technologies.   This helps the viewers themselves get better at creating things that excite them.
