KB: SQL Server availability solutions for Microsoft Identity Manager services databases
Just a quick FYI to let you know about a new KB article we published that describes the availability solutions for Microsoft SQL Server for the Microsoft Identity Manager service (FIMService) and Synchronization service (FIMSynchronizationService) databases. As currently noted in the KB, high availability is supported in the following scenarios for a configuration of SQL Server:
- Failover clustering is supported
- Mirroring is unsupported
- AlwaysOn Availability Groups is unsupported
- Synchronization server HA is not possible
Disaster Recovery is supported in the following scenarios for a configuration of SQL Server:
- Log Shipping is supported
- Mirroring is supported (deprecated in future SQL Server versions)
- AlwaysOn Availability Groups is supported - (Asynchronous-Commit Availability mode)

Hi according to the KB mentioned the HA is supported in always on configuration since MIM 4.4.1459.0 Martin
