World Usability Day
I just found out that November 3rd is the first annual World Usability Day. Check out all the efforts around the globe to draw awareness to the significance of improving the quality of interactions between humans and technology.
Some of you might have known that deep down I'm harboring a secret desire to enter the field os usability. And Microsoft is arguably one of the best places in the world to do usability engineering, but unfortunately that career path is not something I'm able to get on yet. I've been interested in it back in the days when I got my BS in Applied Psychology from Georgia Tech. I actually wanted to get a master's degree in human factors but the real world called and I've been stuck here ever since. :-|

I find it ammusing that the map on their website doesn't work too well. (i.e. It's not very usable.)
BTW Glen, why is your blog title PLA.Net? - Anonymous
