Microsoft Certifications Will be at PDC 2008

Microsoft Learning will be at PDC in Los Angeles this year.  Stop over and say hi if you are certified, thinking about certification or even you don't like our certifications.

Why?

Because we are interested in your opinion.  That's right, we want to know what you think about certification.  What you like and dislike about it.  What you think we can do to make it better.  I would even like to know what would make you get certified if you aren't already.

I will be hosting two focus groups at PDC, dates and times will be posted at the MSL booth so stop by.  What's in it for you?  A free exam voucher just for sitting down and telling me what you think.  How can you beat that?

As a matter of fact, if you haven't taken a certification exam in awhile, I challenge you to attend my focus group, give me your opinion, and then use the voucher to take one of our latest exams to see if they change your mind.

Stop by the MSL booth and introduce yourself.  Let me know if you are interested in helping us create our certification exams, or perhaps you would like to author books or courseware.

See you at PDC!

Gerry

Let's see.  I've spent the last two solid weeks studying and cramming for 70-536, going through the useless 1000 page prep book (which is really more of a list of things you really need to study) so I can take that syntax-a-thon exam again, so that once I pass it I can take 8 other exams just to be certified on .NET, and you want me to come to a meeting so you can go RA, RA, RA, Microsoft?  Some of us have to do more than take non-stop tests for a living.

Gerry, I've got a bunch of MS certifications, but am very disappointed when I see some people who are certified but don't have enough knowledge of doing simple jobs. I think MS must change the type of exams and put a bit more "real world" flavour on it.   Cheers,
