The February Optional Updates are Now Also Available

The February 2008 Windows XP Embedded Optional Updates are now available on the Mobile & Embedded Communications Extranet (ECE) for Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded Service Pack 2, Feature Pack 2007, and Update Rollup 1.0.

February 2008 Windows XP Embedded Optional Updates

TheFebruary 2008 Windows XP Embedded Optional Updatesare optional updates that are separate from the Security updates and should only be installed after the Security updates for February 2008 have been installed to realize full functionality.

The following updates are included in this release – please see the ECE for more details:

· KB 948687 Missing dependencies have been added to the Search Assistant User Interface component:

· Disk Management Services

· Microsoft Agent 2.0 Core Components

· MSXML 3.1

· Search Assistant English Language Support

· Search Tools

· KB 948686 A dependency on Primitive: comcat has been added to Internet Explorer 6 component. This component is needed by some Smart Card applications.
