Reminder- TechEd is only a week away!

If you have not yet heard, TechEd 2008 will be held in during the first weeks of June. This year there are two separate conferences- one for Developers (from 3-6 June) , and one for IT Professionals the following week (from 10-13 June). This year we will have an Embedded Windows track with several sessions from the XP Embedded product team, specifically:

Developer Conference Breakout Sessions

  • Build Small and Secure Devices with Windows XP Embedded (Lynda Allen)- June 3rd, 1:15pm-2:30pm
  • Protect a Windows XP Embedded Image Using Write Filters (Sarah Ali, Milong Sabandith) -June 3rd, 3pm-4:15pm
  • Choose the Right Boot Technology in Windows XP Embedded (Joe Ayala, Mike Moini) -June 3rd, 4:45pm-6pm
  • Introduction to Windows XP Embedded (Tom Xanthos)- June 4th, 8:30am-9:45am
  • Creating Custom Components for Windows XP Embedded (Lynda Allen) -June 4th, 4:30pm-5:45pm
  • Windows XP Embedded: Remote Debugging and Recovery (Preston VanderWest) - June 5th, 1pm-2:15pm
  • Beyond Windows XP Embedded (Shabnam Erfani) -June 6th, 1pm-2:15pm

The Developers conference will also have 4 Hand-On labs available for people who are interested in playing around with the XPe product and its features. These labs are self-paced, so you can do them at any time during the conference. The list of labs are:

  • Using XP Embedded Command Line Tool to Script and Automate Your Embedded Build Processes
  • Understanding File-Based Write Filter in Windows XP Embedded

Alexander Wechsler, one of our MVPs, is also very involved and is delivering these sessions at the IT Pro conference:

  • Enterprise Security with Windows Embedded - June 12th, 8:30am-9:45am
  • Using Windows XP Embedded in Medical Settings - June 12th, 1pm-2:15pm
  • Servicing Windows XP Embedded Devices Using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager -June 13th, 8:30am-9:45am

Also don't miss two of the highlights of this conference, namely the Keynote address by Bill Gates at the Developer conference and the Launch Event for Windows Embedded Standard on Tuesday, June 03, at 9:00am.
