M1 Beta CTP of binary translator project
The binary translator project has reached its first milestone: release of a CTP (Community Technology Preview) of the project.
You can download it from the project's download page. There you'll find download links for the executable (doc2x.exe), complete source code, and a set of sample documents to be used as test cases. Note that if you want to compile the source code you'll need Visual Studio (Express Edition is fine).
I downloaded the executable version and played around with it a bit, and although there are still many things to be completed, it's already usable for simple documents. Below is an example of one of the sample documents before and after conversion:
If you'd like to contribute to this project, sign up on the SourceForge site and get involved. It will be fun to watch this come together, and I can't wait to see how developers use this technology in other projects going forward.
