Ouch, my Tivo died
The hard drive on my Tivo was making some bad sounds. Finally I saw this:
Ouch! I have one of the first generation Tivos, so it's almost 5 years old. It's not too suprising that the hard drive would die after all that time. I was able to easily order a new drive A from https://weaknees.com, and get things running again within a couple of days. I ended up losing everything on it though...
I really should have gotten a second Comcast DVR instead. I was so anxious to get my Tivo working again, I didn't give it enough thought. It has two tuners, it supports HDTV, and it would take quite a while for the monthly fee for a second box to catch up to the cost of the new hard drive.

Hmmm, sure does look like a critical error :)
We havent godt anything like TiVo here in Denmark, but i tried to build my own out of my computer and a TV-card.
Havent worked out too well though, but now im planing to buy a PC and install XP-Media on it at some point.
It should come out supporting the Danish tv channels and so on soon.
I really just would like that auto record feature that TiVo has, we hear so much about here in Europe.
So if anybody importen reads this comment: Start TiVo in Denmark, pleasssseeeee :) - Anonymous

Weaknees is great. I bought a package (minus the hard disks) to upgrade both of my S2 TiVos (both using 300GB now). Too bad about yours crashing though. I have my original HD backed up and I know I would be upset if I lost shows that I had stored. - Anonymous
