Amazon Prime
I went to Amazon today and they have a new "Amazon Prime" service where you pay $79/year and get 2-day shipping on all of your orders. Seems a bit steep to me. I usually go for the free shipping, although that can take forever.

I order a lot from Amazon, mostly DVDs and CDs. Many times I've ended up ordering an extra CD or DVD to qualify for the free shipping. I just decided to join Amazon Prime. As much as I hate paying for shipping, I hate waiting an extra week to have new releases sent to me via their free shipping option. I cancelled all existing preorders I had, joined Amazon Prime and placed my orders again. Everything I ordered is a future release, except for one CD already out. I got that CD today, less than 24 hours after placing my order. I like being able to order just one disc if that's all I want at the time. I know I'll like getting new releases on time, instead of a week to 10 days later.
The $3.99 upgrade to overnight shipping is great if you need a gift fast, but if their free 2-day shipping is always this fast I may never need to upgrade.Anonymous
