XML 2005 Conference

The XML 2005 Conference is just around the corner (only a few weeks away)! It starts on November 14th, and will be held in Atlanta. I'll be there for at least a couple days although I'm not sure exactly which day I'll get into town. I'll be giving a presentation on Thursday morning (11/17) at 9:45 where I'll talk about the new XML formats for Office 12, as well as some of the new functionality we've added around customer defined schemas.

I hope that many of you will have a chance to go to the conference as well. If you're thinking about attending, here are some useful links:

  1. Conference web site: https://2005.xmlconference.org/
  2. Description of my session on Thursday: https://2005.xmlconference.org/program/thursday#pp2

There are a couple other talks that will also include Office XML, but those will feature Office 2003's XML support. My session is the only one that will go into Office 12. If you're planning to attend, let me know if there are any topics you'd like to see covered.

Betty Harvey is heading a panel discussion that includes few other of my longtime colleagues in the XML world on the topic of XML authoring. I noticed that no one was representing Word 2003 so I have volunteered to sit on the panel in this capacity as of this week. I'll be talking about this:

So Brian if you are in town by Wednesday afternoon maybe you could drop by this session
    between 4:00 and 5:30.

    See you there,
