ISO/IEC publishes the Office Open XML specification
There was some great news yesterday for those of you waiting to see what the final version of the Open XML specification would look like after the BRM resolutions were applied. ISO/IEC 29500 is now published in its final form: https://www.iso.org/iso/pressrelease.htm?refid=Ref1181
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm no longer quite as directly involved in the standards process, as Doug Mahugh as stepped up to take a leadership role here for the Office team. He has all the details on his blog about the publication of the final text, as well as the where we go from here: https://blogs.msdn.com/dmahugh/archive/2008/11/19/publication-of-iso-iec-29500-office-open-xml.aspx#comments

I would like to know how to distinguish the current format from the new format version. What element in the OOXML package will show that it is an ISO/IEC 29500:2008 conforming document ?
