Default FSE Settings

If you install FSE after Windows SBS 2008 installation finishes, you may need to change some FSE settings.
To change FSE default settings
Click Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft Forefront Server Security, click Exchange Server, and then click Forefront Server Security Administrator.
On the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
On the Connect to Server dialog box, select your server name in the drop-down menu, and then click OK.
Click the Settings tab, and then use the following tables to configure FSE.
Note
Accept the existing setting for any parameters that are not listed in the tables.
- When you finish, you must stop and then restart FSE for the changes to take effect.
To restart the FSE service
Stop the Exchange services.
Open a Command Prompt window, type the following, and then press ENTER:
FSCUtility /disable
At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
FSCUtility /enable
Restart the Exchange services.
