View Internet domain name properties

You must be a network administrator to complete this procedure.

To view Internet domain name properties

  1. Open the Windows SBS Console.

  2. On the navigation bar, click Network, and then click the Connectivity tab.

    The list view displays information about your network connections.

  3. In the list view, click Internet domain name.

  4. In the Tasks pane, click View Internet domain name properties. The Domain Name Properties page appears.

  5. Click the General tab to view the name of your domain and information about your DNS configuration. If you recently made changes to your domain name configuration, click Refresh status to view the current configuration status.

  6. Click the Provider tab to view information about your domain name configuration status. If you configured Windows SBS 2008 to automatically manage your Internet domain name, the Provider tab displays information about your domain name provider. This page also displays a link to the providers Web site if you need additional information or support.

    If you chose to manually configure your domain name, the Provider tab displays your domain name, and it includes basic guidance about how to change the DNS configuration or view your domain status.

  7. Click the Dynamic DNS tab to view information about your Dynamic DNS configuration.
