Address Expression dialog box
Use this dialog box to create a new address expression that is added to the Address Pairs section of the current capture filter.
- Include
Includes capture data that travels between the members of the current address pair. By default, this option is selected.
- Exclude
Excludes capture data that travels between the members of the address pair.
- Station 1
The list of first addresses in the address pair. Depending on the arrow that you select in Direction, Station 1 can be the originating or the destination address.
- Direction
Specify an arrow that indicates the direction of the traffic between the two addresses.- <-->
Click to specify frames that travel in either direction between the computers that you specified in Station 1 and Station 2. By default, this arrow is selected.

Click to specify frames that travel from Station 1 to Station 2.

Click to specify frames that travel from Station 2 to Station 1.

- Station 2
The list of second addresses in the address pair. Depending on the arrow that you select in Direction, Station 2 can be the originating or the destination address.
- Edit Addresses
Click to open the Address Database dialog box, which you can use to modify the current address database.
Note
- When you specify Direction, you cannot construct a statement in which the source address is either Broadcast or Multicast because Broadcast and Multicast are always destination addresses.
