Replace the redundant array of independent disks (RAID) controller
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To replace the redundant array of independent disks (RAID) controller
- Replacing the RAID controller and updating controller configuration is hardware dependent. Refer to your hardware vendor for information on replacing your RAID controller and the effect that removal of the controller from the shared bus will have on termination.
Note
- Replacing the RAID controller may affect the quorum disk. It is therefore advisable to back up the individual nodes and the cluster disks before replacing the RAID controller. If the quorum disk is affected, it can then be restored from the backup.
Information about functional differences
- Your server might function differently based on the version and edition of the operating system that is installed, your account permissions, and your menu settings. For more information, see Viewing Help on the Web.
