Change how operator requests are displayed
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To change how operator requests are displayed
Open Removable Storage.
In the console tree, right-click Removable Storage and then click Properties.
On the General tab, under Options, do the following:
To display operator requests in a pop-up window, select the Display operator request dialogs check box; otherwise, clear the check box (the default).
To display an icon on the Windows taskbar when there are operator requests waiting to be serviced, select the Use notification area icon for pending operator requests check box; otherwise, clear the check box (the default).
Notes
To complete this procedure, you need the appropriate administrative credentials for the affected Removable Storage item. To maintain system security, rather than logging in as an administrator, log in as a user without administrative credentials, and run Removable Storage as an administrator by right-clicking the Computer Management icon, clicking Run As, and choosing an account in the local Administrators group.
To open Removable Storage, click Start and then click Control Panel. Double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management. In the console tree, double-click Storage and then click Removable Storage.
