  3. On the Action menu, click Properties.

  4. On the Setup tab, in Telephony administrators, click Add.

  5. In the Select Users dialog box, click Locations, and then click the domain where the user account is located.

  6. In Enter the object names to select, enter the name of the user to be designated as a Telephony administrator, and then click OK.

Notes

  • To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.

  • To open Telephony, click Start, click Run, and then type tapimgmt.msc.

  • Use this procedure to enable users who are not administrators for the server to administer the Telephony service.

  • If the user's domain is not listed in the Locations dialog box, try specifying the domain in Enter the object names to select by using the following format:

    domain\username

Information about functional differences

  • Your server might function differently based on the version and edition of the operating system that is installed, your account permissions, and your menu settings. For more information, see Viewing Help on the Web.
