This method updates the value of a property of a data source object.

Syntax

virtual HRESULT STDMETHODCALLTYPE SetValue(
    const WCHAR* pstrPropertyName,
    XRValue *pValue
) = 0;

Parameters

pstrPropertyName
[in] Pointer to the name of the property.

pValue
[in] Pointer to an XRValue object that contains the new value.

Return Value

Returns an HRESULT that indicates success or failure.

Remarks

You must provide a custom implementation of this method when you create a custom C++ object to represent a data source for data binding. This method lets the data binding engine set updated values for data-source properties, which is required for two-way data binding.

The XAML for Windows Embedded data binding engine calls this method to set the updated value of the specified property.
