You can simulate keyboard input on the UI of a Windows Embedded Compact powered device by implementing the software-based input panel (SIP) and using an input method.

Hardware and Software Requirements
- Requires a device with a touch screen or with mouse support. For more information, see Touch Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables or Mouse Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
- Requires you to set input method registries. For more information, see Input Method Registry Settings.
