Short Message Service Functions (Compact 2013)

The following list describes the functions that are used with Short Message Service (SMS).

• SmsCalculateMessageFragments
  Calculates the number of fragments that the text message will be divided into when it is sent out to the network.

• SmsClearMessageNotification
  Cancels registration for SMS notifications.

• SmsClose
  Closes an existing SMS Messaging handle.

• SmsGetBroadcastMsgRanges
  Deprecated. Use SmsGetProfile.

• SmsGetMessageSize
  Determines an upper bound for the size of the buffer.

• SmsGetMessageStatus
  Retrieves a status report for a sent message.

• SmsGetProfile
  Deprecated.

  Retrieves the SMS_PROFILE information for a radio.

• SmsGetPhoneNumber
  Deprecated. Use SmsGetProfile.

• SmsGetTime
  Gets an estimate of the current time approximated by the SMSC clock.

• SmsOpen
  Opens the SMS Messaging component for send and/or receive access.

• SmsSendMessage
  Sends an SMS message.

• SmsSetBroadcastMsgRanges
  Deprecated. Use SmsSetProfile.

• SmsSetMessageNotification
  Starts your application when an SMS message arrives.

• SmsSetProfile
  Deprecated.

  Sets the SMS_PROFILE information for a radio.

• SmsSetSMSC
  Deprecated.

  This function sets the SMS_PROFILE information for a radio.
