Dial-up registry settings are used to configure both PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) connections and RAS (Remote Access Service) connections.
Dial-up registry settings are also used to determine the status of Dial-up networking connections

The default registry values vary depending on which Catalog items are included in your OS design. For more information, see Default Registry Settings.
