This I/O control message retrieves the class of device (COD) of the remote device. Send this message with DeviceIoControl.

Syntax

    HANDLE hDevice,           // handle to device
    DWORD dwIoControlCode,    // use BTH_HCI_IOCTL_GET_REMOTE_COD
    LPVOID lpInBuffer,        // pointer to input buffer
    DWORD nInBufferSize,      // input buffer size
    LPVOID lpOutBuffer,       // pointer to output buffer
    DWORD nOutBufferSize,     // output buffer size
    LPDWORD lpBytesReturned,  // number of bytes returned
    OVERLAPPED lpOverlapped   // pointer to OVERLAPPED structure
);

Parameters

  • hDevice
    The handle to the device.
  • dwIoControlCode
    [in] Control code for the operation. Use BTH_HCI_IOCTL_GET_REMOTE_COD for this operation.
  • lpInBuffer
    [in] Points to a BD_ADDR structure that stores the address of the remote device.
  • nInBufferSize
    [in] Set to sizeof(BD_ADDR).
  • lpOutBuffer
    [out] Points to a UINT variable that receives the COD of the remote device.
  • nOutBufferSize
    [out] Set to sizeof(UINT).
  • lpBytesReturned
    [out] Set to nOutBufferSize.
  • lpOverlapped
    Ignored.
