IRemoteUI_Array::GetValue (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)

This method searches for the specified array index and returns a read-only pointer to the variant.

Syntax

HRESULT GetValue(
  const char* pIndex,
  VARIANT** pValue
);

Parameters

  • pIndex
    [in] Specifies the array index.
  • pValue
    [out] Pointer to a variant. Only DWORDs and BSTRs are allowed data types for this parameter.

Return Value

If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK.

If it fails, the return value is E_FAIL.

Remarks

This method is typically used by the IRemoteUIModule::Put method to obtain data from the user. For example, to obtain the IP address for a specific network adapter, you need to pass the index for the adapter as the pIdx parameter when calling the IRemoteUIModule::Get method.
