The browser calls this method to determine the capabilities of the navigation control.

Syntax

HRESULT GetControlNavigationCapabilities(
  DWORD* navigationFlags
);

Parameters

  • navigationFlags
    [out] One or more of the following flags.

    Flag Description

    NAV_CONTROLDRAWSFOCUSRECT

    The control manages drawing of its FocusRect. In the current implementation this flag must always be set.

    NAV_CONTROLREQUESTSWAITFORNAVIGATIONSTATUS

    Requests that the browser wait for the control to call IOleControlNavigation2AdviseSink::OnNavigationStatusChange before it continues with layout and display the control.

    NAV_CONTROLREQUESTSWAITFORNAVIGATIONSTATUS

    Requests that the browser wait for the control to call IOleControlNavigation2AdviseSink::OnNavigationStatusChange before it continues with layout and display the control.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if the call succeeded.

Remarks

The capabilities flags returned by this method allow for the control to specify whether it is responsible for navigation and draws the FocusRect, and whether the browser should wait for a notification from the control before it continues with layout and display the control.
