Locales for Localized Run-Time Images (Windows Embedded CE 6.0)
1/6/2010
When you build a localized run-time image, you must select a language from a list of locales. Localized resource files are available for certain locales. The localized resource files can be found in the %_WINCEROOT%\Public\<Project Name>\Oak\Lib\<CPU Family>\<Retail or Debug>\<Locale> directory. Platform Builder includes localized resource files for the following locales.
Locale Name | <Locale> Directory |
---|---|
Chinese (Simplified) |
0804 |
Chinese (Traditional) |
0404 |
Dutch (Netherlands) |
0413 |
French (France) |
040C |
German (Germany) |
0407 |
Italian (Italy) |
0410 |
Japanese (Japan) |
0411 |
Korean (Korea) |
0412 |
Portuguese (Brazil) |
0416 |
Russian (Russia) |
0419 |
Spanish (Spain) |
0c0a |
Swedish (Sweden) |
041D |
English (United States) |
0409 |
You can also select a locale that Platform Builder does not support already, but you must localize the strings needed for system components and place the resulting resource files under the correct locale folder. For more information about resource files, see Binary Resource Files. For a list of all available locales (not only those with pre-localized resource files), see Language Identifiers and Locales.
