The ReceiveFromInfrared method initiates reception of an item over an infrared link.

Syntax

HRESULT ReceiveFromInfrared ();

Return Value

This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY, E_UNEXPECTED, and E_FAIL, as well as the following:

  • S_OK
    The method completed successfully.

Remarks

Any type of item (Appointment, Task, Contact) can be received over an infrared link. An item received over an infrared link is placed in the default folder for that type of item.
