The registry stores information necessary to configure the system for applications and hardware devices. The registry also contains information that the operating system continually references during operation.
The registry subkey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\OCX controls the behavior of the Windows Media Player control. This is used to specify the font for the text displayed on the status line in the OCX control.
