Configuration Properties: Locale (Compact 2013)

This page enables you to create a locale-specific OS image. The options that are available depend on the type of OS you create.
Note
Locale settings do not persist if you change the build type from Debug to Release, or from Release to Debug. You must reset the locale settings individually each time you change the build type.
Language Packs to Build
Displays the language packs of locales for which you can localize your OS design.If you select a locale, and an available default ANSI and OEM code page is associated with the locale, the code page is placed into your OS design. At least one value must be selected.
You can add and remove language packs from the default selection. Click the ellipsis button (…), and then, in the Language Packs to Build dialog box, select the check box next to each locale that you want to include in your OS design.

Installed UI Language Packs
Displays the language packs to include in the OS run-time image that are currently selected in the Language Packs to Build list.You can add and remove language packs from the default selection. Click the ellipsis button (…), and then, in the Installed UI Language Packs dialog box, select the check box next to each locale that you want to include in your OS design.
Default UI Language
Displays the default UI language to use at boot time, which must be one of the languages selected in the Installed UI Language Packs to Build list.If this value is not set, the build system defaults to LCID code page 0409 - English (United States) - (0409) - for the system language.
Default Locale
Displays the specific language variation for the default system locale.This value defaults to - English (United States) - (en-us) - for the user locale.
