Catalog Editor Window (Compact 2013)

The Catalog Editor enables you to create, customize, and modify catalog item (.pbcxml) files. To display this window for a .pbcxml file, go to File > Open > File and open the file.

  • Refresh
    Choose to refresh the currently displayed data in the Catalog Editor.
  • Show All Catalog Files
    Choose to display all catalog files that exist in the catalog on your development computer.

  • Add
    Choose to add one of the following types of items.

    • BSP
      When selected, the Catalog Editor adds the template for a new third-party BSP to the currently open catalog item file.
    • Catalog Item
      When selected, the Catalog Editor adds the template for a new third-party catalog item to the currently open catalog item file.
    • Source Code Link
      When selected, the Catalog Editor adds the template for a new source code link to the currently open catalog item file.

  • Validate
    Choose to validate the catalog item file against the XML schema. You can determine the scope of validation by selecting one of the following options.

    • Current File
    • Opened Files
    • All Catalog Files
