The following table shows the serial communications structures with a description of the purpose of each.

| COMMTIMEOUTS | This structure is used in the SetCommTimeouts and GetCommTimeouts functions to set and query the timeout parameters for a communication device. |
| COMSTAT | This structure contains communication device data. |
| DCB | This structure defines the control setting for a serial communications device. |
| IRDA_DEVICE_INFO | This structure contains information about a device that has been discovered by the infrared transceiver. |
