How to Add an E-mail Address for Notifications in a Staging Project

This topic provides the steps to add an e-mail address to receive notifications in Commerce Server staging. You add an e-mail address to receive notification of when a deployment succeeds or fails.

To add an e-mail address for notifications in a staging project

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and the click Commerce Server Staging.

  2. In Microsoft Management Console (MMC), in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand <server name>, and then click Projects.

  3. In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to change, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Project Properties dialog box, on the E-Mail tab, do the following:

    If deployment fails

    Type an e-mail address to receive notifications when a staging project fails.

    After deployment succeeds

    Type an e-mail address to receive notifications when a staging project succeeds.

    Always

    Type an e-mail address to receive notifications when a staging project succeeds or fails.

  5. Click OK.
