Installer version 2.41.169.24029 - Microsoft Store version 11.2402.220.0 updates
New Features
Picture-in-Picture run mode has now been introduced in public preview, allowing users to run local attended desktop flows within a virtual window that replicates their desktop, without having to interrupt their work on the machine.
Makers can now use Power Fx expressions directly into inputted text by using string interpolation. This is applicable only for Power Fx enabled desktop flows (preview).
Enhancements & Improvements
The flow inputs and outputs dialogs, when running a local attended flow from the console, now also mention the flow name, to distinguish to which flow those dialogs correspond.
The ‘Power Fx enabled (Preview)’ property has been moved from the General to the Details tab of the Flow properties pane in the console.
The error message thrown from the action ‘Get password from CyberArk’ has now been enhanced, so that it contains the HTTP status code and the Response content.
Some unsupported properties for text, list and datatable variables in Power Fx flows have now been hidden from the variable picker menu.
A performance improvement, associated with the screenshots of UI elements, has now taken place upon running a flow.
Another performance improvement, associated with connector operations information being cached, has also taken place upon opening the flow designer.
Expanding or collapsing a tree item in the SAP GUI application can now be properly recorded.
Repaired Functionality
The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:
Trying to run a parent flow with a deleted child flow from the console, now throws out the proper actionable error message.
An issue that occurred to users with free Microsoft accounts, when updating the description of a desktop flow in their console, has now been resolved.
An issue was fixed in connector operations, which prevented dependent input parameters from resetting, when another dynamic input parameter value was changed.
Providing an invalid name to an action’s produced variable now does not allow saving the action until the name is fixed, rather than permitting to save the action which disabled the invalid variable altogether.
In the Scripting actions that are Copilot assisted, the button ‘Use this script’ now doesn’t get temporarily disabled, when regenerating the script with a second prompt.
Fixed an issue with the Power Automate agent for virtual desktops installer that removed the task from the Windows task scheduler when upgrading to a newer version. Users who have already upgraded can either reinstall the agent or manually create the missing task to ensure the agent starts automatically on logon or connection to remote session.
Recording an ‘Expand/Collapse tree node’ activity from the recorder’s corresponding context menu now properly expands/collapses the tree node in SAP GUI and Java applications.
Web page actions can now be properly recorded, even when they take place on a web browser tab that is different than the first one.
An issue with the element picker not working properly for Internet Explorer 8 has now been resolved.
