Choose the Dial-in Number Using Lync in Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Lync 2010, formerly Office Communicator 2007, provides a single interface that unites voice communications, IM, and audio, video, and Web conferencing into a richer, more contextual offering. With the Lync Add-in for Outlook, you can schedule a conference call or meeting inside Outlook.

A default dial-in number is used based on your location setting.

However, if you know that most attendees will call from, say Reston Virginia, you can change the dial-in location and optionally save the change. The call info is automatically changed to the new location.

The Online Meeting Options is available when you create a new appoint and click on Online Meeting. It’s not easy to find the place to change the number. So I hope this post helps me remember it .
