The Object Browser: Exporting Your Settings

Once you have the Object Browser configured the way you want it, you will probably want to save the settings. In fact, you might have several different configurations you use depending on the circumstances. For more information on importing (vstipEnv0022 -- https://blogs.msdn.com/b/zainnab/archive/2010/07/15/importing-or-changing-your-environment-settings-vstipenv0022.aspx) and exporting (vstipEnv0021 -- https://blogs.msdn.com/b/zainnab/archive/2010/07/14/exporting-your-environment-settings-vstipenv0021.aspx) see the relevant tips. For now we will just do a quick example to get your Object Browser settings exported.
First, go to Tools -> Import and Export Settings and choose "Export selected environment settings":
Click Next, then click in the "All Settings" box to clear out all the currently selected items:
Now select "Object Browser Options" under General Settings:
Click Next, then give the .VSSETTINGS file a name and the path to store it in:
Click Finish then click Close and you are all set to go! Anytime you need these settings again you can import them.
