Show All Settings (VB)
Menu: Tools -> Options

When you choose the Visual Basic environment settings:
And go to Tools -> Options:
You will probably notice that many options are missing. You can easily get them back by checking the "Show all settings" option at the bottom of the dialog:
This setting will remain in effect from now on unless you deselect the option.
DANGER:
When researching this feature I was surprised to find out that selecting or deselecting this checkbox has an interesting side effect: It will save any current options just as if you had clicked the OK button. You can test this yourself pretty easily. Just change any value:
Now check or uncheck the "Show all settings" checkbox:
Now click the Cancel button. Go back into Tools -> Options and look at the value. Notice it has been saved as though you had clicked OK:

I'm sure that makes perfect sense from some point of view, and would probably be a huge hassle to code it differently. But not telling the user about it definitely seems like a bug to me.Anonymous

Totally agree Marc. I think this must be a holdover from somewhere but I think they should just show everything by default and do away with this option altogether. :)
