Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – Daniel Mann
This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. SeeRanger Index (Who is Who?)for more details.
Who you are?
Daniel Mann, Senior Software Development Consultant with InCycle Software
What makes you “tick”?
I’m fanatical about good practices, regardless of where in the SDLC they are. I’ve been a huge advocate and practitioner of unit testing and TDD for years, and my love of automation has naturally led me to DevOps: There’s nothing better than taking an insanely complex, error-prone manual build/test/deploy process and turning it into a one-button process. Continuous Delivery is a big deal to me.
Where you live?
I live in lovely Hopatcong, New Jersey.
Why are you active in the Rangers program?
I’m hoping to contribute some of my DevOps/process automation/continuous delivery experience to the program, so more people can realize that high-stress, 6-hour deployments don’t need to be the norm in our industry.
What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?
I haven’t worked on any Rangers projects yet! But I will, just you wait and see!
