ALM Rangers – Triage #10 is gathering evidence and we need your input

UPDATE: 2014.11 - No new project ideas have been prioritised, other than re-stating the Git for the TFVC User guidance. All ideas on the backlog will be transferred to triage #11.

We have just started triage #10, the second rolling triage, and are starting the evidence gathering phase. We need your feedback to improve the triage outcome!

  1. Remember to capture your ideas for the Rangers to consider on Visual Studio UserVoice.
  2. Review the ideas assigned to the Rangers project category and vote for your favourite solution(s).
  3. Complete the <2min quick community poll to help us understand whether we are selecting the correct project ideas during the triages.

Thank you for your feedback. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to add a comment below.

As a practitioner in the field, I can say that having guidance describing the differences between VSO, local TFS and IaaS TFS will be beneficial as the concepts can be a bit confusing if you're used to a completely on-prem solution.  The momentum behind DSC is another thing I'm excited about, since I'm of the opinion that there are a lot of developers and ops folks who either don't know PowerShell or don't fully understand the tooling that is out there.  Adding more useful tools to the existing resource list will only help to spread the word.
