Don Box calls HTTP the cockroach of protocols. He's probably right. It'll be around forever, and seems to go everywhere.

    That isn't quite fair since there are a few third-party libraries that give .NET Remoting secure TLS/SSL channels (KPD-Team, Siemens OpenScape, Genuine Channels, etc.)
