Data/Language Integration in .NET (by yag)
As Paul mentions on his blog and Anders discusses on Channel9, we've begun long lead work on some possible post-Whidbey items, including integration of data and language. I have to admit that it's pretty cool to be working with the top language and data architects across the company - another one of the reasons I love being here. I don't know how much I'll talk about this for the next 6 months to a year - the focus really is Whidbey, but it is cool to be able to look that far down the road and really think about the problems.
Update: Thanks for the vote of confidence Bill! Keep those ideas coming...

No doubt that most of those top-notch architects are coming from the vfp team, THAT tool has a long history of data and language integration... - Anonymous

Just to clarify, the .NET archicts and teams are working with the existing VFP team. - Anonymous

Yeah I guessed that already. Since the integration of VFP Team and the Visual Studio Data Tools Team The latter most definetely must have learned something (<g>). - Anonymous
