Example Imagine Cup Round 1 Entry

Are you interested in the Imagine Cup, Microsoft's annual technology competition for students from across the globe? Perhaps you've registered on the Imagine Cup website, or have been at a University where Matt Duffin and Stuart Leddy have given a presentation. And, if you're wondering whether entering into the Software Design invitational is going to take up too much of your time or require skills that you haven't acquired yet, then we've got good news for you. Matt Duffin and Ed Dunhill, a technical graduate who's just started in the Academic Team, sat down over a course of four hours to create a Software Design entry suitable for Round 1.

Now the title of this post reads "Example Imagine Cup Round 1 Entry" - it's meant strictly as a guide, not in the sense that the entry is exemplary! In other words, the idea in the Software Design document isn't the best. You should also avoid using it for inspiration because other teams might be out there doing the same thing; the Imagine Cup is about diversity and we want to see the broadest range of ideas possible.

Anyway, to find out exactly what's needed to get involved in the Imagine Cup, download the document. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Best of luck in the competition.
