“Small Business Server 2011 Essentials

SBS 2011 Essentials requires no Client Access Licenses, and can be used by up to twenty-five users and twenty-five pc’s. The Server license included in purchase gives you the right to install and use the server software.

Small Business Server 2011 Standard

Small Business Server 2011 Standard requires CALs for usage. It includes a server license and five Client Access Licenses.

Server License

The SBS 2011 Standard server license gives you the right to install and use the server software.

Client Access Licenses

Client Access Licenses (CALs) are licenses for access to the server software. SBS 2011 Standard comes with five CALs, which give you the right to have five devices or users access the server software.”
