Join development leaders from EMC and Microsoft the week of October 9th for an introduction and drilldown into the application development features of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007.You will learn the essentials of MOSS 2007 from a developer’s perspective and ready yourself for these revolutionary releases!
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 - An Application Development Platform
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) is truly a next-generation portal, web content management, and collaboration platform that makes it easy for end-users to create and share information across and beyond the enterprise. MOSS is far more than an end-user toolset, it is also an extensible application development platform that adds immense value and productivity to ASP.NET. With an expanded object-oriented and web services API, developers can use and extend components of ASP.NET - master pages, themes, and web parts-along with SharePoint features including sites, lists, and content types.
Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 - I See Forms!
Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 introduces a new server technology that allows for distribution of InfoPath forms to the web - and much more. This session presents an overview of Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 programmability features including the managed object model, template parts, and provisions for third-party hosting. We also discuss techniques for using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Applications (VSTA) and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System (VSTO) to develop InfoPath 2007 forms.

InfoPath 2007 Rocks. I recommend you sign up for this and check out the VSTA stuff in InfoPath 2007. I have been busy over the last 3 years developing this managed alternative to VBA for InfoPath and other ISVs (download the VS SDK to add VSTA to your own apps). So now you can create VB or C# macros with the embedded Visual Studio based IDE. Install InfoPath 2007 and press Alt-Shift-F12 to fire up the IDE and start coding.
