Find us at the SharePoint Conference 2012

Today kicks off the first day of the SharePoint Conference 2012, and nearly 10,000 attendees are primed and ready for it.

If you are on Twitter, follow the profile @SPConf as well as the hashtag #SPC12 for real-time updates and announcements. The SPC page on Facebook will also be active.  Also, make the most of the event while you are on the go, with the MySPC 2012 Windows Phone mobile app.

If you are not able to attend the conference this week here in Las Vegas, you can watch the keynote – by Microsoft SharePoint leaders Jared Spataro, Jeff Teper, Scott Guthrie, and David Sacks – streaming live at 8:30 a.m. Pacific time today.

TechNet happens to be showcasing a new feature package rotator on its home page today as well, including a new SharePoint feature package as the lead item. The package highlights SPC, the release of the RTM evaluation bits on TechNet, and updated technical documentation and resources for SharePoint 2013.

Be sure to check out the package, editor’s note, authored by yours truly.

For the inside scoop on the developer track, check out the Session Essentials for Developers post on the apps blog.

The documentation teams who support the content for various technical audiences (IT Pro, Developer, Information Worker, and SharePoint Online) are very well represented at SPC this year – 38 of us are onsite here at the conference, and we are going to be available all week to answer questions, gather feedback, and collaborate on projects with customers, partners, MVPs, MCMs, and other members of the vibrant SharePoint community.

Here are just some of the ways you can find us:

  • Welcome Reception, Exhibit Hall, Sunday Nov. 11, 6-9 p.m. (If we talked with you last night, please keep the feedback coming!)
  • Product Pavilion
  • Design Time Sessions (private meetings)
  • Breakout Sessions
  • SharePoint Express Sessions
  • Surveys/questionnaires
  • Hands-on Labs
  • Ask the Experts, Exhibit Hall, Wednesday, Nov. 14, 6:15-8:15 p.m.

And of course, we all plan to partake in all the “fun” evening events to mingle with the community.

Want to discuss SharePoint technical content on TechNet and MSDN with an IT Pro writer/editor/project manager right here in Las Vegas during the conference? Feel free to write to ITSPDocs [at] Microsoft [dot] com to possibly arrange for a meeting, or send us feedback anytime!

Same goes for the developer side – the feedback alias is DocThis [at] Microsoft [dot] com.

You may also feel free to contact me directly to put you in touch with some of these folks.

NinaR [at] Microsoft [dot] com or @MSNinaR on Twitter.
