Update your computer and devices for changes to daylight savings time

The United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act in 2005, which makes daylight saving time (DST), starting this year, start three weeks earlier and end one week later.

Normally, you don’t need to update your computer or mobile devices for daylight savings time. The dates are built in the software. But since the software wasn’t aware of the new energy act, you’ll have to install updates to earlier versions of Windows, Outlook, and Windows Mobile-powered devices to make sure you don’t miss any meeting or appointments.
