Robbin's bio
Hi! I'm Robbin Young, the lead editor for the Microsoft At Home and At Work Web sites. I've worked on Web sites at Microsoft since 1998, when I came in to work on the full family of Windows product Web sites.
Without going into a year-by-year recap, I'll just say I've been working with and writing about computers since before there were PCs. That doesn't mean that I know a whole lot about how they work, however. Oh, I can usually figure out the basics of how to format a document, fix a PC, or make a printer work. (And if you think you're the only one who swears a blue streak while doing such troubleshooting, you're wrong.)
So, although I can usually get my PC to do what I want it to, I'm just a lot more excited about what PCs can do, rather than specifically how they do it. I'm particularly interested in digital photography and video, and have begun playing more with music.
TipTalk is one of the ways we're hoping to make it easy for you to get more excited about what PCs can do, whether or not you want to know exactly how they do it. By the way, I have promised my manager that the tips I share will not include colorful language.
