Things you shouldn't have to ask the front desk
"Is it normal to
have dead crickets all over the floor of my room?"
Yeah,
seriously.
I'm in the Dallas
area visiting a customer, and I booked myself into a reputable-but-unnamed
hotel. Slide the little card key in and out, open the door, and
-- SURPRISE! - dead crickets littering the floor. And the room was on
the third floor, so either these are crickets with NBA hops or they somehow set
up shop in the room. At any rate, they moved me to a non-cricket room, so
things are fine now, but - still - not a question one should have to ask at the
front desk.

I am wondering about the eerie possibility that the previous occupant of that room, collected dead crickets and may have inadvertently left a few behind.Anonymous
