On my way home
I'm finally on my way home, finishing up a 9-day road trip to Cairo. The trip went really well, and I'm happy with our talks at the Middle East Developer's Conference, visits to Cairo universities, and the 2-day ISV developer lab. I have a backlog of stuff to blog about, but I'll do it after catching up on some sleep. My flight out of Cairo was at 3:00 AM local time, and I'm currently sitting at the departure lounge in Amsterdam's Schipol Airport waiting to load myself into a big tube with wings that will take me back to Seattle. Weather was balmy my entire stay in Cairo, but the weather turned a bit cold and it started gently raining as I left the hotel by car for the airport. Perhaps Cairo knew I was leaving and was preparing me for my arrival in Seattle? I'd like to think that, anyway. I enjoyed my stay, and having Cairo natives Ayman and Mohamed with me to help navigate the city made it all the better. If you're the type that likes photos, I've posted a bunch on my MSDN space.
