Josh is a Storage Product Manager in the United States, with 15 years of experience with IBM and Lenovo in the commercial computing solutions field. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters of Business Administration from North Carolina State University. His areas of expertise include x86 high-volume servers and mid-range storage solutions. He holds several patents and regularly presents to customers on value-added solutions.

 

Scott Johnson    Microsoft Program Manager Windows Storage Server

Microsoft Speaker: Scott Johnson, Program Manager, Windows Storage Server Scott has been messing with computers for 33 years, parlaying his favorite hobby into an 18 year long career at Microsoft. Scott has degrees in computer science and business administration from WWU. He is the Program Manager for Windows Storage Server and the Appliance OOBE deployment tools. Scott has worked with OEMs on BIOS, firmware and compatibility issues in the Windows Hardware Quality Labs, designed tools and websites, digital signature infrastructure and crafted logo program requirements for USB, ATA and SCSI storage devices. Scott spent the last 7 years engineering and releasing Microsoft's NAS platforms. He loves gadgets, billiards, wakeboarding and is waiting patiently for the Seattle Supersonics to return to Seattle. Scott has an unbelievably supportive wife at home, two beautiful girls aged 2 and 7, a pair of 17-year-old cats and 14TB of NAS using LSI RAID 5 on Hitachi enterprise drives.
