Cumulative Update #1 for SQL Server 2014 SP1
Dear Customers,
The first cumulative update release for SQL Server 2014 SP1 is now available for download at the Microsoft Support site.
To learn more about the release or servicing model, please visit:

7/8/2015 Update:
Please be aware that a subset of Analysis Services (AS) hotfixes, originally released in SQL Server 2014 RTM CU6, CU7, or CU8,
were not included in SQL Server 2014 SP1 CU1. A side effect of this is that, when applying CU1 to a standalone
AS Instance, you may not see Analysis Services as an eligible component to be updated .Please be aware that 'Slipstreaming' (\UPDATESOURCE= …) SQL Server 2014 RTM+SP1+CU1 is not functioning in CU1
Both issues above will be addressed in CU2, as well as an upcoming on demand hotfix update to CU1
An update to this blog entry will be made when the on demand hotfix update to CU1 is released

Thanks for the post, I notice SP1CU1 includes all fixes including cu6,cu7 and cu8, is there a reason to release CU8? since we just need to follow one approach, upgrade to SP1 and installce SP1 CU1? Thanks, AlbertAnonymous

Hi. I try to install SQL Server 2014 Enterprise SP1 with CU1 by this command ( the SQLServer2014-KB3067839-x64.exe file is in D:SQL Server 2014 SP1CU1x64up ) setup /action=install /updatesource="D:SQL Server 2014 SP1CU1x64up" And I chosen these roles and functions of SQL Server Database Engine, Analysis Services(Tabular), Reporting Services -Sharepoint, Reporting Services -Sharepoint Add-In, Integration Services, Management Tool Then I continue install, but I meet this error message(I'm Korean and I install Korean language SQL Server) and can not continue install. blogfiles.naver.net/.../a1.png Is there any problem to install SQL Server SP1 with CU1 ? ThanksAnonymous

Just a word of caution with SQL 2014 CU6-8. I still get an error installing when an SSISDB is present. This results in the instance being corrupted. I had to reinstall SQL 2014, ensure the SSISDB is not attached and then do the updates. Then when updates are complete re-attach the ssisdb.Anonymous

I just recently the update to my development workstation and one TEST server. Analysis Services (SSAS) continues to report itself as build 12.0.4100.1 (which is only SP1) and not build 12.0.4416.0. Given that there are quite a few SSAS fixes in this update, this doesn't seem to be right. Any insights or can anyone corroborate? Thanks you in advance. John B. Pittsburgh, PAAnonymous

Follow on comment to my last post, when I look at the file information for CU 8 (support.microsoft.com/.../3067836), I see a whole host of SSAS file updates that I do not see in CU 1 for Service Pack 1. From my outside-of-Microsoft perspective, it seems that the SSAS updates were not included in this update as advertised. Regards, JohnAnonymous

I’ve discovered the slipstreaming problem with SQL 2014 SP1 + CU1 is only problematic for Windows Server 2012. On Windows Server 2008R2 installs the slipstreamed version without any problems.Anonymous
